Local Minneapolis artist, Katherine Story-Sutter, shares her thoughts: “Creating art has always been a centering process for me, going to a place of complete quiet. My work in hospice care has emphasized the importance of a still mind and reflective heart. I use both memory and image to interpret the emotions of places been, and painting in oil allows the freedom to intuitively play with color, which is the goal of my work.
